Bruce Lamar Wasden was larger than life. Everyone loved him! He grew up in a 900 square foot home in the small town of Scipio, Utah. As the youngest of ten children, he had an old-fashioned upbringing. Working on the farm, fishing in streams, hunting the land, and a close-knit family. He was a bit of a Huck-Fin.
Bruce went on to marry the love of his life, Mary Olpin, and they raised eight (amazing) children. He received his teaching degree and became an elementary teacher then later a principal. He loved the children, and he was loved by all, even the occasional student who had many trips to his office (perhaps he related to them).
He was a wonderful storyteller and could keep the audience captivated. He always had a story to illustrate the life lesson he was teaching. He also loved jokes, especially blonde ones, as a blonde himself he thought they were hilarious.
He was the shining example of a life well lived and stories well told.
